History
Up until the 1930's the Girl Guides and Boy Scouts of Great Hampton held their meetings in the Dame School that stood beside St. Andrews church. The gateposts are all that remain of the school today.

In the 1930's the school house no longer met the needs of the thriving troops and so it was decided 'Hampton Guide and Scout Association' would purchase the land next to the school in order to build a more permanent headquarters. This wooden hut was used up until the early 1990's, when the building we use today was built.
